Terms of service
GK Library Terms of Use and Digital PDF Purchase Conditions
Effective date: 2026-10-29 · Version: pdf-sales-2026-10-29
1. Service and operator
아카이지 (the “Operator”) provides GK Library's public articles, member features, and digital PDF purchase and download services at www.gklibrarykor.com. These terms govern users' and the Operator's rights and obligations and individual PDF purchases. For enquiries, cancellations or refunds, contact sgjjojo@gmail.com or use the site's contact feature.
2. Registration and accounts
Registration uses the stated username, email address, password and nickname, or an available social login process. Your real name, date of birth and postal delivery address are not required for site membership or PDF delivery. Register an accurate email address you can access and keep your account and authentication methods secure. Account theft, fraudulent payments and unauthorized access are prohibited. Existing accounts are not automatically merged merely because their email addresses match.
3. Public articles and PDF products
Reading public articles on the website is separate from buying those articles as downloadable PDF files. Before buying, you can check the content, language and file format in the public article and the PDF sample provided. Each PDF product is the edition fixed for purchase of one article in one selected language, as shown at checkout. Other languages, other articles and future revisions are not included unless expressly stated.
4. Price and purchase review
The current price for each multilingual PDF product is US$1.00, paid once. This is not a subscription and does not renew automatically. Before paying, check the article title, language, total amount, currency and delivery conditions. If anything is incorrect, do not proceed or cancel before approval. The Operator does not add postage or a further purchase fee to the total displayed on the site. Any PayPal or card provider's exchange rates or international payment charges follow that provider's information. Future price changes apply only to new orders placed after the change.
5. PayPal payment and formation of the purchase
Payment takes place through PayPal's payment process. The purchase is formed and download access is granted when you approve payment at PayPal and the Operator verifies completed payment on the server. Cancelled approval, failed payment and pending payment are not treated as completed payments. This purchase is independent of Korean-language PDF purchases and neither uses nor adds to knowledge points or membership-level free PDF allowances. New support payments have ended; earlier support transaction records are retained as required without changing rights under transactions already concluded. The purchasing member can check order identifiers and purchase status on their purchase screen. Where a minor's purchase requires a legal representative's consent, that consent must be obtained; without it, the minor or legal representative may cancel the contract.
6. Digital delivery and repeat downloads
The product is delivered as a PDF file, without paper or postal delivery. Once completed payment is verified, you can download while logged into the purchasing account; downloading does not begin automatically. The same account can download the same purchased edition again without another charge. There is no separate download expiry while the account and purchase entitlement remain valid and the service is provided. Ordinary unpublishing of an article or a translation update does not by itself change the purchased edition or remove access. If a legitimate reason such as a legal removal requirement arises, users will be informed and the matter handled under applicable law. A valid file already downloaded may be kept for personal use. Payment completion shown on the purchase screen is not itself proof of successful file delivery; the first successful delivery time is recorded separately.
7. Request for immediate delivery and withdrawal
Before buying, you can review the public article and PDF sample and personally select a separate request for immediate digital delivery after payment. This option is not selected in advance. Under applicable law, the ordinary withdrawal period is 7 days from receipt of the contract information, or from the start of supply where supply begins later. Before the first successful PDF delivery, you may request cancellation and refund within that applicable period. Once the PDF has actually begun to be supplied, change-of-mind withdrawal may be restricted if the required restriction notice, preview and other statutory measures have been provided. Payment alone does not remove every refund right.
8. Non-delivery, defects, differences from the description and refunds
If payment has been completed but you cannot obtain the file, or the file is damaged, provide the order identifier and a description of the problem. The Operator will provide a valid file again or arrange cancellation or refund appropriate to the cause. For a product that differs from its description, advertising or contract, statutory withdrawal rights apply within the periods set by law, including 3 months from supply and 30 days from when the problem was known or could have been known. These rights remain protected after downloading. Where a statutory refund is due, the Operator will refund or take the necessary payment cancellation or refund steps within 3 business days from the applicable statutory starting point. The time the refund appears on a PayPal or card statement may vary with the payment institution's processing schedule.
9. Requests and changes to purchase access
Request cancellation or refund through sgjjojo@gmail.com or the site's contact feature, including the order identifier for the purchasing account. Do not send card numbers or passwords. Requests are handled after checking the order and actual delivery; an enquiry alone does not automatically refund or charge you. Download access continues while verified cumulative partial refunds remain below the purchase price. Further access ends when the purchase is cancelled through a full refund, cancellation, reversal or chargeback. Access may be suspended while a full refund is being processed and is restored if that refund fails and valid payment remains. These measures do not restrict statutory withdrawal, refund or dispute rights.
10. Licence and prohibited conduct
A purchase grants the member permission for personal reading and learning, not a transfer of copyright. Uses allowed by law, such as lawful quotation, are respected. Without separate permission, you must not sell, transfer or share files or download access, or distribute files in bulk. Security circumvention, automated improper downloading and use of another member's entitlement are prohibited. If a violation occurs, the reason and scope will be explained and use may be restricted as necessary.
11. Outages and service changes
The Operator will investigate outages, failed delivery and legitimate complaints and arrange recovery, redelivery or a necessary refund. Changes that materially affect repeat access to purchased files, such as maintenance or service closure, will be announced in advance with available opportunities to download. Products that cannot be provided will be handled under applicable law. These terms do not generally exempt the Operator from liability for its intent or negligence or exclude statutory consumer rights.
12. Personal information and dispute resolution
Member and transaction information is handled under the Privacy Policy. Payment information collected and processed directly by PayPal is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policies. The parties will first try to resolve disputes through the contact details above. If unresolved, remedies, dispute mediation or competent court procedures under applicable law remain available. The service operates with reference to South Korean law without excluding mandatory consumer protection rights applicable to the user, including those of their country of residence.
13. Application and amendment
This version applies to new PDF purchases entered into on or after its effective date. The registration screen presents the current membership conditions. Rights under transactions already concluded will not be changed retroactively to the user's disadvantage. When terms are amended, the changes and effective date will be announced on the site; important changes disadvantageous to users will be notified in advance as required by applicable law. Matters not addressed here are governed by applicable law and conditions clearly displayed for the individual purchase. Provisions contrary to mandatory law do not apply.
